Seems far too soon after we so recently lost PD. A decent treatment from the BBC amidst all the tinkly-themed pan-and-scans of blurry pictures and computer voice-overs that seem to proliferate on YouTube in the wake of such events.
I was always more partial to the Barbara Vine's and the non-Wexford stuff myself, and really was there ever since Agatha Christie such an genre-challenging moment in crime-fiction as this, from the first page (first sentence really) of A Judgement in Stone ? Whodunits seem so clichéd in its wake.
